Type of soil: alluvial calcareous clay
Harvest: end of September
Colour: deep red with violet highlights.
Aromas: intense and fruity with hints of undergrowth, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries and strawberries.
Flavour: round and soft with the typical sensation of carbon maceration that exalts the spicy varietal flavours.
Can be considered a wine to drink throughout a meal, except with particularly spicy dishes and very sweet desserts. Excellent with barley soup, mushrooms and Tagliatelle with truffle. Highly recommended for entertaining friends with roast chestnuts, the autumn fruit par excellence.
